Tooth aligners are a modern orthodontic treatment designed to straighten teeth without the need for metal braces. These are clear, removable, and custom-made trays that gradually shift teeth into their ideal position over time.
The treatment begins with a detailed consultation, where the dentist evaluates the patient's teeth. Digital impressions, X-rays, or 3D scans are taken to design a set of custom aligners that fit perfectly and guide the teeth into alignment.
Once the aligners are ready, the patient receives a series of custom trays, each slightly adjusting the teeth’s position. Aligners are worn for 20-22 hours a day, changing to a new set every 1-2 weeks. Unlike traditional braces, they are removable for eating, drinking, and brushing.
After completing the aligner series, the teeth are perfectly aligned. To maintain the results, a retainer is provided to prevent teeth from shifting back. Regular dental checkups ensure that the alignment remains intact over time.
